Istanbul Radio Tower with SubD 

Using SubD and Grasshopper together is a very powerful workflow. Not only can we harness the power of SubD Tools for Rhino 7, but we can also manipulate this geometry further with Grasshopper and apply some parametric definitions as well. In this tutorial, we are going to be modeling Istanbul Radio Tower, designed by Melike Altinisik Architects from Turkey. The process of modeling will include SubD tools from Rhino 7, you will learn how to add more edges to your SubD models as well as how to convert them to nurbs in Rhino. Once we create the overall geometry, we’re going to go a step further with Grasshopper and add some additional details that would include different levels with various heights. In the extended version of this tutorial, which is available on our Patreon page, you will see how we parametrically created windows on those levels.
