Urbach Tower is a prototype project designed by the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (Prof. A. Menges) and Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design (Prof. J. Knippers) from the University of Stuttgart and other external collaborators from ETH University from Zurich.

In this tutorial, we are going to explore the ways we can create this structure in Grasshopper using various techniques that include vectors, rotation, and scaling.

Once we finish with the overall shape in Grasshopper, we’re going to bake the geometry and continue with the creation of details directly in Rhino. In the end, we’ll sort the geometry based on layers and materials.

In the extended version of this tutorial, we’re going to sync our Rhino model with Twinmotion, add materials, environment, people and render out the final image.
